This is an annual festival of the Osogbo people in Osun State, Western Nigeria.
For the people of Osogbo Land, August is a month of celebration, traditional cleansing of the city and cultural reunion of the people with their ancestors and founders of the Osogbo Kingdom.
The Osun-Osogbo Festival is a two-week long programme. It starts with the traditional cleansing of the town called 'Iwopopo', which is followed in three days by the lighting of the 500-year-old sixteen-point lamp called 'Ina Olojumerindinlogun'.
Year after year, Goldberg Lager Beer continues to celebrate this all-important festival with all the befitting sons and daughters of Osun and Osogbo.
FUJI T’O BAM
Goldberg Fuji t’o bam is the No. 1 indigenous Fuji music platform in Nigeria. The widely successful Fuji musical contest and activation seeks to discover the best of upcoming Nigerian Fuji artistes as well as parade the best of Nigeria’s Fuji music stars across western Nigeria.
Introduced in May 2013, as the experiential stream of the brand to connect and drive closeness with its target consumers.
Goldberg Fuji T’o Bam employs an indigenous genre of music known as “Fuji” that resonates with its target consumers, in order to be able to share their interest and give them an opportunity to be “The Befitting Man”.
This ancient festival of the Ijebu-Ode people dates back to about 400years ago, where the men, women, children, warriors and indeed the whole community gather to pay homage and celebrate their king; the Oba and Awujale of Ijebu Ode.
The entire community adorn themselves with colourful regalia and outfits.
Various groups present dances, parades and horseback riding displays as the community puts up a colourful celebration for their Oba. Once again, Goldberg the Befitting Beer is always proud to be associated with this great celebration.
